2010 Aviation Maps (Issue 36 - 1:500000) Dear all The next issue (36) of the half mill air maps will be available from 11th March, and I will be putting in a bulk order. Can you let me know if you would like one? Please remember that legally you must carry a current map whenever you fly cross country (i.e. outside gliding range of the field), even if you are using GPS. I’ll be putting the order in in a couple of weeks. Thanks Chris Chris Pollard Parachute repacking Tim Moran come down annually to repack Wormingfords chutes at their club site. He only charges £25 per chute. He is coming down during w/c 22/2 or 1/3. If any one wants their chute done let me know and I will arrnge to get them over to him. Shock Ropes - In the supply store As posted a while back last year, there is a good supply of shock ropes and weak links available in the stores building. If you're on site on a flying day and need spares or replacements, the store building should be your first port of call. So if you want your own copy, get in touch with Lorna for pricing and availability. Rattlesden RASP for the week ahead If you are interested in the full range of RASP predictions, a new app is now available. These allow you to select the various RASP parameters, specifically for Rattlesden. But you can tune the input parameters for any location in the UK for up to a week ahead (based on Leeds Metropolitan University data).
