The club is situated on the World War Two 447th Heavy bomber Group's airfield South West of Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. The club members purchased the site, including a 1000 meter runway, clubhouse, hanger and workshop, in 1988.

There are two concrete runways (i.e. land in either direction), runway 24 (pointing 240 degrees) and runway 06 (pointing 60 degrees). There is also a shortened grass runway at the east end of the site, with runway 35 (pointing 350 degrees) and runway 17 (pointing 170 degrees).
